Suggesting:
Hide nametag only when sneaking (can be caught from behind from other players so not completely invisible) or using invisible potion via Invisible mod
Reason:
Bring more tactical advantage when doing PVP wars.
Why should we implement it?
We can have competetion among clans or parties, search and hunt in the wild.
And would be great to battle royale
Does it go with the YL theme?
Yes

Invisible
Hide nametag while sneaking, or invisible
https://content.minetest.net/packages/AiTechEye/invisible/
we already have the invisible mod (or something like it), and it does hide the nametag (though it's bugged out and doesn't actually make the player invisible, see #1974)
hiding the nametag while sneaking could be implemented pretty quickly w/ the name_monoid.
No no, this mod is not meant to make player invisible at all (#1974 is not relatable here), just to hide player's name tag when you press the sneaking button. If someone coming from the bushes or behind trees when doing sneak attack during night and can be spotted when searched at right angles or getting close to player. (Imagine pubg)
Case:
Example: Capture the flag, sneaking through the base not making enemies alert far ahead or doing spy task etc.
gitea crashed and deleted a long comment i was typing. curse gitea, this is not the first time its screwed me.
@AliasAlreadyTaken there's lots of other git hosting software, we should pick one and migrate. repo.or.cz is terrible, notabug is terrible, gitlab is better than this, github is microsoft, i don't know much about anything else, but other things exist.
@sherkhan30452 we can't use some random mod that hides a player's nametag, because we have multiple mods that are trying to control the players nametag, and they have to coordinate via player_monoids. i could implement the "sneak hides the nametag" thing in a couple minutes w/ our nametag monoid, but i need alias' approval.
Sneaking mechanics including hiding the nametag when doing so may be a rogue class specialty, I'd like to hold off until then.
