i made a similar system on blocky survival, i very much like this mechanic. follow one path to get to the public farm, another to get the public mine, another to get to the shopping district, another to get to the tutorials.
Just like in Wizard of Oz (follow the yellow brick road), in fact I was planning to do it in my city

Yes and I like this system most. One colour for each direction: north, east, south and west. Players without the knowledge about coords in Minetest can be lead this way. Best of all: mayors of other cities can use this system too, not Haven only.

At Arabellas playground we often used four colours too.

So
north = red
east = yellow
south = blue
west = green
please dont change it. other cities should copy that colour codes too.
I think this could help quite a lot of players. But if it's just an issue here it'll get missed by most. Hanging up a poster somewhere ingame might be a good idea.

why are two roads green?
Because we're in lack of more colours: We used the caverealms crystals to colour the lampposts, but there are only 5 different ones.
So far I have not heard any problems with the colourcoding. Should we close this as done or is there more to do in someone's opinion?
i vote close. i have yet to memorize the colors of the roads though.
