Sherlock's magnifying glass could be used for mese whole crystal farming from obsidian glass ( baked obsidian shard = 1/9 obsidian block) + common metal ignots + 2 mese shards.

{ 2 mese shards + 1 obsidian shard + 5 common ore ignots }>1 Magnifying glass >1 mese crystal > 9 mese shards and all again

1 obsidian block ( 9 shards) i can regularly get from oerkki in the nearest underground, common ores too, so i just needed 2 mese shards for start

Later on in the game mese crystals are not rare. So this is neither good nor bad - it just is.

Let's change the recipe of the magnifier to require two mese crystals instead of mese shards. This is consistent with the value and the other tools.

i do also want to note that it's the only one of those 3 tools that has durability and which can't be repaired.
