uhhhhhhhh......not an issue, you shouldn't be up front with whips in the first place.

i think we should make the whips attack faster but less damage. Now it can kill instantly which is overpowered.
One whip can kill those without armor instantly, and those with crystal armor in 2-3 hits, so about as strong as iron golems. However whips are very close to each other so they attack in groups.
Due to their range, they can be very difficult to kill when in group clumped together
I've said this previously, but I think the primary issue with whips is the fact that you're supposed to engage them with ranged weapons, but all the ranged weapons suck or are the balrog whip, so you're basically mostly fighting these on melee.
i think they won't be a huge issue if we had better ranged weapons, but that's going off track.
Apparently the issue is not the whips, but that ranged weapons are currently broken: #5717
Sure whips and even groups of whips are a challenge. That is intended.
