Jammy reports a bug:
Player position:
Player look:
Player information:
Player meta:
Log identifier
Profiler save:
Status:
Teleport command:
Compass command:
this is because (some) moretrees trunks and planks are in the "snappy" group. if you punch w/ a sword, you're doing snappy damage, so you get the snappy sound.
API notes
we could override the sounds manually to only ever play the choppy sounds, but i don't think it's necessary.
cf. #1567.
ANOTHER thing Jammy thinks is a bug that really isn't. The "not quite doing it" sound shows you're holding the wrong tool for the job... it's actually a helpful sound to anyone paying attention. You quickly pick up the patterns and find them helpful but you have to be paying a bit of attention to pick up on it apparently.
AGAIN I've written to the player that this sound is on purpose and actually helpful and not a bug.
If someone wants to think it's a bug and change the behavior, I can't stop you, but for me, this is yet another example of a player finally starting to pay attention to the game and quickly finding out they are not actually very familiar with it... but not everything one does not know is a bug!
noting that this is yet another thing fixed by my moreblocks fork. #2915
