I'm not sure I'm correctly understanding the issue.

"woodsoils:dirt_with_leaves_1" does spawn naturally, for example in jungle biomes underneath the jungle trees.

There are plenty of them around Puerto del Sol.

Am I missing something?

oh, it's "woodsoils:dirt_with_leaves_2" that doesn't spawn, not 1.

it's a very simple fix, just add this to the code

  	if string.find(node_2a.name, "dirt_with_grass") then
  		minetest.swap_node(radius_2a, {name="woodsoils:grass_with_leaves_2"})
  	end
  	if string.find(node_2b.name, "dirt_with_grass") then
  		minetest.swap_node(radius_2b, {name="woodsoils:grass_with_leaves_2"})
  	end
        
        
        that's all I had to do to get it to spawn in a private test world so it should work with YL

that's already the existing code? and i don't see how that'd add "woodsoils:dirt_with_leaves_2"?
