this is a feature on blocky survival, written by luk3yx. you can choose to have a mailbox connect to a special inventory for the mailbox owner, so that mail deposited in any mailbox for a player will be accessible from all other mailboxes. i'm highly in favor of this. i swear i already opened another issue about this, but i can't find it. implementing this would be pretty simple if approved.
