Can confirm happening in game: problem is with playeranim body rotation being applied after rotation of the player being cancelled by the cart.
... btw, there's no "carts" mod in the
yourland-mods
?so the fix from #4515 won't help, will it?
it's part of minetest_game, though a lot of cart behavior is overridden in yl_commons. honestly i should package that custom code up into a "carts redo" mod
That fix only applies some limits to rotation by changing math, preventing head from turning more than 90 degrees. I think it may be already in game? It should not change anything for carts.

Sorry, always forget about base game when searching codebase :\
It's not only mods, worldmods and game. Sometimes stuff is also in builtin.
YL should provide a setup guide of sorts how to make a copy of the server - including which engine version, mod composition and whatever is needed to make a more or less exact copy.
