this only happens w/ the noface variants of the "default" trees. ethereal, mahogany, and moretrees work fine.
this is likely related to the fix for #3431
... i can't figure this out. it works fine w/ my moreblocks PR. things aren't registered any differently than the other trees. the nodes actually exist you just can't get them from the circular saw.

Found instead: #4185
QA
The default trees are still missing.
if minetest.get_modpath("moreblocks-master") then
dofile(minetest.get_modpath("yl_noface_trees") .. "/moretrees.lua")
end
what does this mean? using my morblocks fork, if you put a node in the saw, can you not take out nodes? or do you mean that the cooltrees "basic" (not noface) tree nodes cannot be cut?
With the old moreblocks: default:no_faces_acacia_tree can be put into the saw, but there are no results. Usually, when a block is not saw-able, it can't be put there at all.
oh. the "ready for testing" tag was meant for when my moreblocks code was installed, nothing was done to fix the other moreblocks, and i wasn't able to figure out why the issue even happens.
Then let's postpone until after the moreblocks test
I don't understand. Two weeks ago, I was able to use all kinds of trees in this way.
huh. perhaps it is intermittent and depends on the order that mods load, or something similar? i don't understand either, i spent an hour or so trying to figure out the cause but couldn't. given that the issue is fixed by my moreblocks fork, i stopped working on it.
One guess: Maybe Boot was using the Beech version. Just the other day I remembered that the trunk of Beech Tree looks exactly like the Default one and while the Default No-Face Trunk can't be cut the Beech one can. Maybe that is also what causes the problem somehow?
It's either way pretty useless anyways to have a No-Face Version of both if they look the same.
The issue are all the noface tree trunks and specifically only those.
