This isn't a balancing issue - the insulated wires have param2type = facedir, and wouldn't be arbitrarily rotatable - but it requires a little bit of code to get mesecons to understand what happened. Any fix should probably be PR'ed against upstream, to get the best review.

Turns out, you currently can rotate the insulated wires with the screwdriver, but you can't with the rhotator. I'm not sure what's up with that?
