Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

That is an interesting idea. Now I do craft a lot of food ingame but I never had the idea to eat simple sugar or flour. I'd actually suggest to not make that a thing.
With the caramel my initial gut reaction was less of a clear "NO!", but I would still suggest to not make this a thing. Caramel exists, but is currently underused in the game, would shine if we added it to other recipes for example a granola bar with chocolate (hello granola bar that we cannot call Mars but you get the idea) or as flavor for donuts etc.
So for this issue, I'd suggest to close it, but take the insights for adding other crafting recipes.
