Part of the honey integration problem cluster!! Annexed.
Tested it. You can actually only use mobs:honey, of all things cucina_vegana:dandelion_honey or a wine:bottle_mead to create a wine:glass_mead at the moment. Both the bees:bottle_honey and the petz:honey_bottle cannot be used. Logically, if the dandelion_honey can make it through, the regular honey bottles should too.
I found a hint to a different logic in the mod though. The same mobs:honey can be used to create a canned_food:honey_jar (luckily I remembered it exists) and that one can't be used for mead either. Now the question is, is a bottle of honey that much different than a jar of it? I guess I need to look at how mead is made in real life and then present the issue to Alias.
Todo:
add:
petz:honey_bottle
bees:bottle_honey
canned_food:honey_jar
to the eligible recipes -
these are all in the group:food_honey, only the canned_food honey would have to be added
update: done
Fixed in:
commit 9bb8c089944b842866596bb86833c4cad65abeda
and take xdecor honey out, we apparently don't have this mod.
I know what to do and how to do it, but I need to ask Alias how to make the edits best so that they don't vanish with the next upstream update of the mod.
Tested my edits in wine's init.lua and everything worked as it should. But can only commit/push and close the issue when Alias gives his ok.
for reference: #725 an upstream bugfix might come for this in the future
Talked to Alias, learned how to handle this,
fixed in: (at least for now)
commit 450f543314d347a2b788450028827d232ab08d25
second fix:
