Tested it on a stack of default wood of three. Holding the sneak key I couldn't fall from the platform just by walking, but I could jump off without a problem, even with pressed shift key.
I could not reproduce this bug on two stacks of default wood, default cobblestone, default stone. The bug report is probably also old enough so that LeetPeet doesn't remember the exact circumstances anymore when I would ask him.
