mrminer reports a bug:
Player position:
Player look:
Player information:
Player meta:
Log identifier
Profiler save:
Status:
Teleport command:
Compass command:
So mrminer can spy on our city some more? xD
ssssshhhhhhh.....
I'm personally not for this. Because if two players are attacking a focus, and one keeps accidently hitting the other, and can't see them, it will take time adjust your position so you're not hitting the other player, then when you move, that other player might start accidently hitting you.
maybe don't completely hide a player but rather make them more transparent?
Also not in favour of this. I want to see if someone follows me when I go to places where I do not want other players.
I personally think that the current way is fine.
Invisibility will be revised with the 1.4 update
Thats the point of invisibility. To be not visible.
Invisibility is needed against hostile mobs. Not against other players. It might be helpful to show better that a player is invisible, but...that's nothing that's very important IMHO.
What's the usecase of invisibility that clearly doesn't target mobs, but other players?
Let's not assume malicious or hostile intentions, especially since mrminer already hosted two hide and seek events that would profit from player-facing invisibility.
So far, I like rewired_X suggestion best: make them more transparent. That doesn't fit a hide and seek event though.
The 1.4 implementation will most likely have various levels of invisibility
Being completely invisible does sound more appealing, but like tour I value my privacy and don’t like the idea of other players possibly spying on me looks over shoulder
I also like rewired_X’s suggestion to make players more transparent when invisible
It might be cool if graphically the invisibility potion made you actually invisible when you are being very still but visible to some degree when moving. Sort of like an adaptive camouflage that doesn’t adjust fast enough while moving around. This might suit hide and seek games well while making it hard for players to invade others’ privacy?
