there are a few accounts that are just for advertising it seems.

I think it should be a general report to remove accounts off of the bugtracker, such as spam accounts and perhaps.. certain people, who incorrectly use the bugtracker wrongly one too many times.

i personally think each new event should get a new bug, otherwise there's no way to resolve the issue. also, probably a link to the spam accounts would be useful, otherwise it might be difficult to tell what needs to be removed? i'm not entirely sure how people notice the spam accounts to begin with.

Yep way too much advertising accounts. Maybe limit the bug tracker only to people with a working, not-in-jail game account?

and what about those like me who don't use our exact ingame names ? and how would you even make it so that gitea would only allow
accounts that yl has ?

I don't mean that. I mean that if you register a gitea account you have to add your in-game name in your self introduction

There are plans to allow players enable the ingame account/password as OAuth2 provider. But that still doesn't solve spam accounts as long as we want to allow unattended account creation.

Most people do not want to wait for Alias to enable their accounts and Alias doesn't want to spend time to do that either.

Maybe only allow people with a game level of 3 and above to register gitea. Make it automatic so Alias don't need to wait.
