I saw something in the edge of my view - but it looked like 2 tables stacked on top of each other.
So either I saw mimic spawning on a table, or mimicing a table.
This is on a Puerto's beach...
I didn't realize what happened until mimic started attacking us.

All of those positions are only a couple of meters away from the beach, the bathing area. I suggest increasing the area of Puerto Del Sol so that mimics can't spawn right at the doorstep.
i'm mostly convinced that mimics don't spawn where they shouldn't, and that they (almost never) teleport though blocks. if either of those was the case, bel azimut would be overrun with mimics, and i AFK there constantly, and none appear.
