Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Maybe, but i would keep it as is, to not confuse new (MC, etc.) players.
I think choppy should be limited to just the axes, since apparently its on the player hand too ...
Not having crumbly and choppy will make a "cold" start very very hard.
though choppy items are already hard to cut, why make it harder for new players ?
This suggestion is going to make the start for new players harder, imo.
No, no, and no. Not being able to dig out even dirt from what I've been seeing basically makes even making a basic shelter for noob players next to impossible.
Possibly. I don't think the hand should be able to have choppy. I think you should only really start to learn that choppy exists when you inevitably start making axes.

i mostly wrote this because i (again) accidentally dug up a piece of my farm while trying to just harvest crops. i think there's another issue somewhere (#1953) about allowing players to individually control the abilities of their hand, but i never finished that because formspecs. closing this because we certainly won't do it this way.
