1: players: small castle, cannon, NPC, cinema
2: nonplayers: Volcano, an inactive Focus, dragon, Miocene, mimic
3: YL dev: gitea, /mods, flux mods, website
4: MT: other servers, github, adjacent projects

center background: landing spot for the airship

I'd be opposed to showing Gemini as an example since the city is newer and doesn't have any amazing builds yet. I would personally opt for any cities being made to either be older cities with tons of history and also good builds like say Odonhull, or cities with fantastic builds like Frosthall/Glacierville

nice idea, but the major confound is that the infotext for mobs is usually easily distinguished from infotext for nodes

If you're close enough to see the infotext, I would say you found it already... Even in a limited space, it would take some time to run around and scan the infotext of blocks, so you will have to narrow it down to sus ones, or remember the shape of environment...

Also, a minigame where people turn into mimics could be cool, but it's for other time I guess...
