after things settled down, i'm missing exactly 32 stacks of flax - a weird coincidence, given that's exactly one chestful. but the input to the mechanism consisted of four chests - it's a coincidence, though expected it's a multiple of four. the first step is to figure out what exactly happens when you pipe items into an unconfigured teleport tube. i'd like to be refunded for this, but as it's only 1 out of 13 chests full of flax that went missing, it's not a high priority for me.
nevermind, all the flax is now accounted for. in local tests, if an item ends up in an unconfigured teleport tube, it doesn't teleport, possibly getting ejected.
