WHy not. It's a very expensive material cuz many people go to nether or deep mining instead of mining at depths where you find ancient marble. In one hour mining you can easily get 2 stacks of ancient marble.
But it still is unrenewable. What if its supply ran out(although unlikely)?
But it probably will never happen. And if it happens, the smartshop could be added then
Staff cannot compete with player shops, so a clear no.
You could certainly calculate how many tens of millions of blocks there are on the server. But you have to bend down for it sometimes. I've only ever collected them on the side and so 15k are slumbering in my store. If the price were good, I might also offer them in the shop, but actually they are more of a good way for beginners to mine and offer them, because they are actually easy to reach.
