Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
... then there was clearly too much construction going on here near Wahi Wera (2517,13,2119) just next block.
It should be clearly regulated whether the distance rule also applies to faction areas and quest areas. And it should also be clear whether it applies to new areas or also to built things. And whether this rule applies server-wide or "on a case-by-case basis".
if this gets implemented, the temp and advice areas by Xonon and wishingirl are all of a sudden, too close to Wahi Wera.
Protected builds.
Better make up your minds...
this massive group of structures would also be too close now. there's more aside from what's shown.
older than the distance rule.
there's a number of protection areas nearby that aren't though.
Either a rule applies or it doesn't. And if it applies, then it must be enforced. So get rid of the freshly built.
Otherwise, it would be better to designate a piece of each quest or faction area as an open area. This is how you determine the location and the size. Such an area is useful for anvils. You make a backup of this area in advance, which is easy to reinsert later. On the other hand, no wild growth is tolerated at the known distances. Anything else will only lead to further devastation around these areas.
im leaning more towards "let's just get rid of EVERY build created after the distance rule and call it a day" but whatever, that's just my thoughts, and it leans more in towards what the title suggests.
considering the area around wahi is already a mess, you do you.
edit: on another note, this issue should have been created long ago, and not now.
If this is a problem, the line should have been drawn when everyone else started building their crap near wahi and not brought up now.
I'm not trying to go against anything, but I'm also not supporting anything. I think its stupid that only now this becomes an issue, when long ago it should have already been one.
2 months ago I screamed at my computer just to write a message.
2 months later, guess what? More new builds are too close to wahi.
I'd rather just see everything too close to wahi get razed. I also still think its absurd that this issue was made much later after the problem arose.
Many of those are now scheduled for removal.
This affects
This does not affect because older than distance rule:
This does currently not but maybe later affect
Not too close, but still a ruin nearby for a long time:
questionable
i don't mind executing orders about removing areas cuz distance rules, if there's clearly a mandate for me to do it. one question though - if the protected area has anything valuable in it, should we put it in the lost-and-found, remove it, or let anyone that finds it take it?
