... the ants soon destroyed all the land. Everywhere their ant burrows. From time to time it was still ok, but at the moment it's too much. And unfortunately, their influence is permanent. The other mobs gone wild (you can now collect mutations everywhere) die or despawn, but the ant holes are left behind.

even if we reduced the spawn rate of queen ants, they'll still make nests in suitable locations, and i've never been very happy about the logic involved in the creation of the nests. cf. #1444

What might be a reasonable solution to this?

Sure, we can tune down spawn rate, but we can't forbid ants making nests.

Would it help if we disallowed ants make nests nearby areas?

Or could we disallow ants make nests when another nest is nearby?
