Talking with Transformers didn't get very much useful information, help needed
Since I persuaded him to write the bug instead of just whining in the chat, I bear a kind of responsibility. After his entry, I had advised him to write an explanatory comment here, because it is clear to me that no one can do anything with it.
But if it's a bug, it's in everyone's interest that it can be fixed. Hence what I heard. Transformer had a normal nether portal. Then he wanted to equip it with mesecons. But instead of using a lever, he tinkered with a button and a player detector on the portal. Since then, the portal has led to a different location.
When the portal in the nether gets destroyed, then a new position is selected. I'd need to investigate the position to say what's going on.
I had asked him twice if something could have destroyed his portal (even one block) from the nether side, but he insisted it had been his button.
