daydream reports a bug:

I just saw something - I thought it was a dark magenta balloon... it was in the sky over my head and I flew up to get a closer look but it disappeared by the time I got to it... at first it just went by my eye and I thought it was just a butterfly but as I was closing in on it, it looked way bigger and like more round and with a tail? and then it just disappeared... does log show it?

Still, from the description I couldn't tell what entity or temporary block arrangement that could have been.

dark magenta balloon

from that description, i'd guess it was some variety of unknown entity. those have a position and a velocity and not anything else, and tend to just fly in one direction until they unload or get punched.
