Dirac reports a bug:

Idea for "special" uncraftable holiday food items: timed XP multiplier. e.g. eating a golden carrot grants you 20% extra XP for all xp-earning activities (e.g. digging, fighting) for the next 5 minutes.

this could be done easily w/ my balanced_diet mod. darealbang would love the specific improvement for golden carrots.
