The amount of leaves I get is pitiful (sometimes only 2!) compared to that amount needed to mulch up the tree
my tree chopper machine doesn't work due to bad leaf drop rate :(
If you chop the tree manually, do you get enough leaves?
Unrelated: We will change things when they are bugs or balancing issues. We will not change things when they only personally invenonience people. Like "I have a mithril sword now, please make mithril sword uber powerful and shoot lightnings" ;)
On the contrary, since the new choppy has been available, you get many more leaves than before, because much less is lost. At least with the big trees. After all, all trees are different in terms of wood and leaf yield. Maybe you will use a very simple and always the same tree species for machines, such as the beech.
i'm reading the issue as "sapling drop rate from leaves should be increased"
i think i proposed at one point that leaves be craftable directly to saplings, though i'm not finding an existing issue.
but as boot points out, with choppy, hand-chopping trees will give you a lot of leaves. if you're using a machine to break the tree, perhaps have the machine break the leaves first and the trunks later?
flux: that may work
That rather sounds like a problem of this specific machine design, instead of a problem of MT, YL or the user themself.
Even if a machine was less efficient than manual labour, I'd be very ok with that.
Nothing we can fix, nothing we will fix.
