this lasted for a couple of minutes, w/ several lag spikes of over 10 seconds and an average step time of about 2 or 3 seconds. i couldn't figure out what was causing it, only shanish was in the nether, and there wasn't an unexpected number of entities.

sounds like it ran out of memory due to some memory leak and was thrashing. this is a dupe of ... something.

note that lua memory usage was about 4GiB when i checked shortly before alias restarted the server, which suggests the issue is a leak in the c++ code
