this is not a yl_fireplace specific problem. the major issue here is that nodes which impart damage to players (damage_per_second) don't have a natural way of describing what kind of damage it is they are causing. currently, 3d_armor's fire protection requires you to register every relevant node with 3d_armor directly, in order for it to modify the damage.

tldr: we can pretty easily create a fix for this in integration, but i'd love to find some time to fix the damage mechanics properly. hopefully next year.
