Oakenshield reports a bug:

I have an idea for DFCaverns elements in the game w/out too much lag. If you could make it so that the biomes didn't spawn, but items and seeds were put in loot chests found deep in caves, that might prevent mapgen lag, but still allow players to have the cool tower caps, tunnel caps, spindlestems, bloodthorns, gas wisps, nether caps, etc.
