Yusukunai reports a bug:

I found this bug. Whenever I fall a long way down and I press shift, it doesnt hurt me. How?!

I could survive the fall about 50% of the time. Until I removed my armor.

Then no times. This is armor/hunger buff and luck, not a bug.

hunger does not. the "heal" factor of armor is the % of time you will avoid all damage, except drowning. it currently protects against falling and starving, which it probably should not do, but that won't be addressed until we get around to reworking the damage mechanics for weapons and armor.

armor (especially padded) should grant some protection against fall ... but not by granting 50 pct chance of surviving fall from few km height unscratched. it should not protect by hunger and also should not be damaged by you experiencing hunger.
