what are the usual spots? and why are they usual spots?
I have a purpose built spot with the corals they spawn around... I have got many stacks of them in this spot before (where I was when I filed the bug) but I AFK there for a pretty long time today - and nothing spawned at all. It could be bad luck, but I never had such bad luck before.
Just wondered if maybe there was something going on with water life mod that was affecting the coralfish spawns?
Since 1.1.118 water_life didn't change. water_life did have a change in spawn conditions about 9 month ago.
we've also been having issues w/ mobs_redo mobs spawning in the nether, which possibly could be related. this is tricky to look into though.
It hasn't been 9 months since I got a few stacks of fish at my purpose build spawning river on Sanctuary... so it would have had to be something more recent OR I had seriously strange bad luck yesterday... which I never had before and I got like 8 stacks of those fish when I was stocking up last time... like spent a few days non-stop catching them, stood right there and waiting for them, etc. know what to look for and how to get them but NOTHING yesterday at all. Very odd. Hopefully they will spawn again at some point!
Next time we're on, I'd like to see that spot
Maybe we can work out some similarities to the nether spawn issue
I got some coralfish today. Looks like it was just incredibly bad luck afterall.
I can't reproduce either. When I idled there for a bit, coralfish spawned.
