Please add 10k denomination XP Coin, and by necessity for the recipe a 5k XP Coin.

Also consider a 25k and 50k XP Coin. The 99-stack of 100k amount would be un-spendable in the classic sense, so it should have the cost of storage space and not be convenient to hold; so a 99-stack of 50k XP Coin is still less than our L80 XP limit, and that seems like a reasonable upper limit per-denomination.

I've struck the suggestion for 25k denomination because it does not follow the multiply-by-2,multiply-by-5 pattern of the other denominations. Having a few 50k XP Coins in bags as high level player (less than L80) would make sense to get to the next level and mitigate risk of losing as much XP from misadventure; and it would burn inventory space to carry those in 10k denomination. I think 25k XP Coin or 50k XP coin either one would be great but 50k seems the most practical for the given reasons.

Note that from experience going mining for a solid session nets about 50k-60k XP gain in practice, some players net twice that in a session if they are dedicated to XP grind. Also that is just short of the amount in XP Coin that can be earned during a seasonal holiday event along with occasional side quests. Several players have 50k worth of XP Coin today.

Avoid underspending:
Applying any single XP coin that brings the player's XP above the maximum 5'120'000 XP should refuse to be applied; You would break down the XP coin to a lesser denomination.

Just tested this w/ upie and XP Coins are wasted if you use when at maximum L80. At least these should be changed to not disappear if they do not increase your level when used.

Hmm. It might be very difficult to get that many XP coins as a single player. I'm not sure if that warrants an extra item.

if you want to keep it visually distinct 10 100 1(k) 50 500 then adding 5(k) is a very reasonable request. More could be added later, I don't see any downside to adding at least the 5k denomination. We have added unusual meme food items without concern about item limit, so this seems reasonable?

Should the "avoid underspending" be split to another bug report?

Until now, the XP coins were used for work for the public or for quests. Some players converted them into real XP, some started trading with them, while probably most of them put the XP coins in their chests.

In my opinion, XP coins should not be a commodity, because it then significantly devalues them as prices for work or quests. For long-time players, they only have a symbolic value anyway, because the time required for a quest will always be significantly higher than mining in the same amount of time. I only take part in quests for fun and curiosity anyway.

This ticket is about adding higher denominations. If you feel that XP Coins should have more value, then that is in favor of this request?

I would want to collect together 100k-200k of XP Coin in my bags for situations where I am close to the next on-tens level (L9, L19, L29...) and eager to get to that next level for the on-tens bonus (whether that is bonus areas, more voting influence, or the planned classes and abilities); or just getting to the next level before some quest or event and I am close but do not want to risk losing greatly so much XP from a character death. None of that is strictly commerce, but I also do not see any problem if I want to give some of my XP Coin to another player for appreciation or as a player-run event. It is agreed that giving 10, 50, 100 XP Coin has little more than symbolic meaning. I do not think that a 99-stack of 5k XP Coin makes sense but neither does limiting to 99-stack of 1k XP Coin (for the reasons explained); holding XP Coin should be encouraged as the player sees fit and not penalized for those long-time players that would have to burn an extra slot in their bags to hold more than 99k. If it made sense to add 2.5k coin value (3k?) that is about where I would want to see, but might as well just make it 5k and start there.

from the mentioned use cases, i feel like this is a feature that will only provide a few seconds of value to half a dozen players over all server time. in my opinion, not worth considering further for development.

and the underspend issue? a few lines of code, no artistic time or additional nodes?

As an alternative:
"XP coin bag" inventory screen.
You would deposit coins there, and then use them in bulks pressing buttons or entering amount.

Just leaving this idea here - I agree that potential user base is too small probably.

that's worth fixing, but not a high priority.
