+1, now that i'm (hopefully?) done w/ the shared chest stuff, i'll try to get to updating the post-office stuff tomorrow.
The post office is difficult to use without proper labeling. Who wants to check every single box just to find one? If no one else wants to do it, I'm happy to take care of the labeling.
This is pending the lag investigation regarding singposts
what's the goal of this investigation? from my own tests some years ago when i was rewriting smartshops, signs are the worst offenders for FPS/reaction lag in the game. no other single object is close, though smartshops used to approach them by packing 4 objects into one node.
EDIT: and i suppose i have to acknowledge that it depends on lot on the computational power of the specific client, and the complexity of the sign (i.e. # of characters)
And that means that the appropriate "sign_road:white_sign" are never filled in there? If not, then we need a different lag free system.
For example, instead of the continuous numbers, a numbering of the rows with the alphabet mod and within the row with a color code. And on the counter there is also the book with the corresponding entries.
the command now currently emits "postoffice successfully updated" on success.
