@daydream can you get the exact coordinates of the relevant itemframe? it should log when players put/take things from them now.
It wasn't inserted on the item frame... I was using invisible items frames on the beach to contain the flamingos so they wouldn't fly off cuz I like how they look on the beach... so it was essentially a box containing them made out of invisible items frames.
I had 2 flamingos inside this box doing their thing for approx a week and nothing happened. Because the item frames were never disturbed, and I couldn't 'catch' or take the flamingos "through" the frame in any way - even tho their animation made it look possible - I don't believe anyone messed with them or tried to as even I could not without removing an item frame first.
At one point one was missing and a bit later both were missing... all 20 items frames forming the box (2x2 square with top) were untouched and in place. A bit later still one of them showed back up... at that point I counted myself lucky to get one back and dismantled the box and put the remaining flamingo in storage.
i see. hm, tamagochi_mode is off, they don't seem to have a lifetime, i've got a bunch of them in a similar box up in space, waiting to see if anything happens
i've noticed that you cannot protect them w/ a mob protection rune. perhaps someone killed them w/ the electrumese sword explosion?
you can also just attack them through the item frames when they're flying up to the edge, no explosion required.
@AliasAlreadyTaken can you take a look in the log and see if anyone killed flamingos near daydream's area?
There were astonishingly few flamingos punched since their arrival, none of which near daydream's North Haven Bay.
note to self: test whether exploding flamingos logs anything useful
if i attack the flamingo, or it is hit directly by the projectile:
if it is damaged or dies due to the explosion: nothing
so they could have been killed by explosion damage.
they're likely safer on Sanctuary but I sort of like showcasing beauty in north haven... shame, might have to start logging what goes on on area 4277 and 4304 if it's to be used to showcase beauty those beautiful things needs some safeguards... especially when they're rare beautiful things.
