it'd be awesome if we could make doors only block light when they are closed, but the distinction between open and closed doors is dubious, and there might not be a good way to do that.

I added the bug label because I think when light goes through a block that is means to conceal an entrance, it doesn't serve its purpose :P

Rethinking doors is on the list and maybe we should not pour a lot of energy into fixing old doors - however this fix is quite easy, right?
