To be honest I don't to explain why we need it, animals & water
silence
adds a node to silence nearby sounds
https://content.minetest.net/packages/rheo/silence/?protocol_version=41
I like that idea but I think what would be better instead of node would be some kind of rune you'd have to draw on the ground or similar.
Would fit more with the server especially when magic will come at some point.
One could have to use a tool in order to draw the rune on the ground, instead of crafting it.
And depending on which kind of rune it would be (if more shall be added in the future) it could be needed to combine the tool with a certain node/ingredient beforehand.
Should also silence weather:
your-land/administration#42
I'd prefer to add it to the magic spells though, a general "silencer node" seems not very useful.
Unless andone or @sherkhan30452 can explain the usecase?
personally, i really want this to silence my "factories", so that i don't have to mute my client while they place/dig nodes repeatedly. i still want to be able to hear DMs and announcements. turning it into some sort of "magic spell" would be fine by me, the silence mod's underpinnings are incredibly minimal and could be worked into almost anything.
