don_flymoor reports a bug:

Fixing tools for free should involve heating it in a forge before using the anvil. It should also involve using scrap, 50 which should be obtained throught smashing an ingot on an anvil. The scrap should be metal/ingot specific. Each hit of the hammer against a heated item will comsume a piece of scrap, and fix the item a bit. Not to expensive, but not free
