interesting proposal, not incredibly feasible, particularly for old chests.
Incase this is a singular request, like "find me all chests of a certain player", we can look it up in the log. Finding all chests ever placed AND the person who did it is next to impossible, without going through ALL mapblocks and ALL the log.
possibly we could implement something that finds nearby chests owned by the player? we'd have to rate-limit that though, and i'm not sure that'd fix the user's problem.
Show them into the maptool?
probably, it'd be more useful to show them as waypoints, than find a way to make them appear on the minimap.
