wordes reports a bug:

i dont know if you already know this or not i think i found a bug with the haven chess bored because if you pick up a piece then reset the bored it leaves the piece in youre invintory and puts more on the bored soo if people figure out this bug they might start taking chess pieces

It is intended that people can grab chess pieces from the board, to make their own chessboards, games or use them as decor.

Yes, we could add a crafting recipe and then somehow only allow certain "movements" with the pieces, but that would require the implementation of your-land/administration#60 and it would prevent people from using the chess pieces for their own stuff.

That's why I'd like to keep it the way it is and not consider it a bug.
