daydream reports a bug:

suggestion to make golden apples or carrots work on animals too... restoring a pet's health shouldn't take a week of perfect timing and proximity all the while worrying if it will work or not in the end

counter-suggestion: right-clicking on tamed petz should tell you what items will heal them (and also, what tames them, and what to use to breed them). healing (most?) of them isn't hard.
