Actually that's already a thing: You can place a torch next to an ice block and it will become a river water source.
well, that certainly doesn't let you melt a stack of ice into a stack of water sources w/ any sort of efficiency. though i guess if you wanted to build a lake, though, you could just make a layer of ice and cover it w/ torches?
i really don't see any harm in adding such a recipe, as you can already craft the "thin ice" from caverealms into a water source.

Well a good number of players already pay a premium for thin ice or collect it them self just because it is so valuable. I personally don’t even have buckets, if I need one I craft it on demand and just use water sources when possible. I think one inventory space is worth way more than 3 iron. I don’t think this changes anything aside from the difficulty to obtain it
