staff could absolutely add such a protection area, the question is, should we?
In my opinion: Yes.
We tried to leave it to the players. This did not lead to everyone taking charge, but to noone taking charge.
Then we tried to protect the dropshaft and made it an "open area" so that everyone can still dig out and place stuff and "maintain" it, but there were still thefts of cushions and ropes, leading to death.
I am inclined to add daydream and Giueseppe to the area, they both care a lot for the dropshaft due to proximity and at least daydream having a base in the deep. In urgent or recurring cases they can even ban people from the Hellevator.
This might demand making daydream officially staff ;)
i have no problem making daydream staff, but they might not want the responsibility.
i'll try to create/modify the protection area around the shaft sometime soon
I'm not qualified technically but if trustworthy is important, followed by loyalty... I'm good :) Besides a few have checked my privs seeing if I have mese maker or not and are quite confused about it - maybe because I never show off but at least one player thought maybe I hacked my account somehow, oh my!
protection areas are in place, closing
