it's a little weird that snakes stack at all, but i don't really see a good reason for such arbitrary stack sizes. unless we wanted to drop the "normal" stack size to something much smaller.
Probably the mod author tried to imagine someone "holding 16 snowballs" or "holding 10 snakes" at a time. Swords only stack to one, because you can only have one sword in one hand, right?
However, you can easily hold 99 cobble and we won't do the math again.
There's no point limiting snakes to 10 or snowballs to 16. We should increase to 99.
