I have regrowing dates**(edit: first stage)** on the live server its just so painfully useless slow.
Even cutting a tree without woodcutting and planting a new one will be faster and yield more dates than waiting for them to regrow.
That might change if you plant a whole forest in the size of 1-2 areas.
edit: so far I only got regrowing dates of stage f0 that wouldnt "ripe" to the next stage.
Hoping they will ripe after I got the m0 date fruit now.
I spent quite some time testing in singleplayer but couldnt find a solution.
After adding some debug messages to the on_timer function "dates_growfn" I noticed it wasnt called for "moretrees:dates_f0" nodes.
Without "dates_growfn" the dates wont advance to the next stage, I placed some "f1" and they advanced without a problem.
I couldnt find why "dates_growfn" isnt called for "moretrees:dates_f0".
But after using an luablock ingame to get the on_timer value of "f0" dates newly placed "f0" work as intended while old ones still wont grow.
Let's not put research time in why the mechanics of the past don't work. Let's create the new one.
