In fact, the sandwich recipes are quite different. They do have in common that you put a bread slice on either side of the fruits or beef, but that's to be expected from a sandwich.

Did you maybe assume from the crafting guide that all ingredients are mixed into a triple mega sandwich, no matter which ones you use?

You can mix every sandwich into a triple mega sandwich, though, and that's intended.
