As this is deeply in the middle of nowhere, and the cobble roads seem to be placeholders for part of a larger build, i vote for leaving it as is.

this is one of the ends of the roads, reaching over 3k nodes in length /teleport xyz -8420 33.5 0

to me it seems the player is a passionate tunneler :P and those stairs and rails are made for a pure convenience in moving around the place, but those super long highways through mountains and oceans are unnecessary
