it works about as well as it does with any node with a nodebox draw type - it doesn't appear as an unknown texture, but looks odd. i swear this has been reported before for mimes and e.g. grass (plantlike), but i can't find anything else in the issues.
i'd say this isn't really an issue, mimes don't work fantastically for any node with a weird drawtype (see #1281).
Talked to Alias - as the issue isn't critical as in makes the server crash and the mime isn't even displaying an unknown node, we ought to live with it for now :D Also, weird behavior makes the mime a bit more of an opponent, such as when he becomes mostly transparent and just some grass or flowers.
improved the mimes mimicking ability. they can now accurately look like nodeboxes and meshes, and can even mimic nearby mobs!
