Hermes reports a bug:

Please make the mythril scythe collect the crop and seed rather than just dropping them. It's a trap to have people waste those precious ingots just to discover that farming with this tool requires more clicks that farming with just seed in the hand. Even worse that those clicks to collect the items from ground have delayed feedback, which slows me down even more.

Yes. This has annoyed me several times as well. It's too much fighting with client control for no gain.
