I find this mod interesting. But as long as we can't provide more uses for the new ores outside of "just" tools, I would not integrate it. Maybe we're ripe for one new material/weapon/armor set though.
adding more challenges/rewards for mining deeper is a good idea in general.
Had a talk with Alias. This appears to be a game balancing issue, too. Old mines in which all the blocks are generated already would have a disadvantage against all the mines that can easily get the new ores. Also, Alias thinks we're both right. We want to avoid any steps towards a mod soup adding a mod just because it's cool, but we also do want reward miners and explorers. This is therefore not a close on won't fix, but rather a we'll see how YL develops and how we can find uses for more ores aside from just having more of them.
