This is either something we can easily do, or something we should close out. I'm in favor of adding special ropes that have a glowing end node, or just having all ropes having such, but i'm ok with just saying "no".
Sounds like a nice effect but which of the 16 ropes gets the glow variant? hard to argue why only length "x" gets it but not "y" or wooden yes but copper/steel not so it would add alot of nodes.
Making rope knots glow as default may also break existing build.
Let's make only the top models of each of those ropes have a glowing variant
ropes:wood2rope_block
ropes:steel9rope_block
ropes:copper5rope_block
Recipe: top variant + mese block
That would add six more blocks and three more recipes
The request was to have the bottom of the rope glow, not the top? Having the top glow is not nearly as useful as having the bottom glow, while it descends.
Yes, the idea was to have the knot glowing while it descends, so that people don't overshoot their descend and suddenly plummet to the ground.
With the top models I meant the longest ropes of each kind (copper, steel and wood), not the toppermost block of the rope: the pulley(?)
Oh! I understand now :) Will do.
